4 Advance the thread
slightly up the shank and reverse tie in another swatch of the
pink craft fur. Carefully cut off the small portion of craft fur
sticking out towards the bend. Please note that for patterns less
than 2 inches, the second swatch of pink craft fur is not necessary.

Step 4
5 Fold the craft fur
back and make enough wraps in front of the fold such that the
craft fur is positioned properly.

Step 5
6 Tie in a layer of flash.
Ive used silver Angel Hair, trimming it so its just
a bit longer than the craft fur.

Step 6
7 Advance the thread
slightly and reverse tie in a swatch of tan craft fur. As before,
make sure the fluff is removed prior to attaching and cut off
the small portion sticking out towards
the bend.

Step 7
8 Fold the craft fur
back and make enough wraps just ahead of it so the craft fur is
positioned properly. In all the ties in this pattern it is important
that once the material is folded back thread wraps are made in
front of the fold, NOT OVER THE MATERIAL. Youll notice that
should you wrap over the material, that part of the fly will look
too compressed. Whip finish and cut the mono.

Step 8
9 - Attach stick on prismatic
eyes high and forward on the head of the pattern.

Step 9
10 Coat between the
eyes and over the eyes and thread with a small amount of clear
flexible head cement. In this case, Ive used Plasti-dip
in an injector bottle. You can also use thick Soft Body or Softtex
applied with a thin bodkin. Be careful to coat only the front
portion where the eyes are to preserve a sufficient gap.

Step 10
11 This is how the
finished fly should look. Ive also provided a photo with
a ruler so you can see the finished size of the fly. See steps
11 and 12
