Step One
Mount hook in vise with offset eye facing downward. Wind bed of
thread from eye to bend and back. Tie in brass dumbbell eye 1/16”
away from hook.

Step Two
Invert hook. Tie in a sparse bunch(about 20 strands 4” long)
of Super Hair from dumbbell to the bend. Split it evenly around
the bend. Tie in a mono eye under the barb and apply a drop of
C/A cement to mono and dumbbell windings.

Step Three
Invert hook and tie in three Wiggle Legs from dumbell to mono
eye.

Step Four
Invert hook and tie in hackle feather behind mono eye. Saturate
windings with head cement and palmer hackle from mono eye to dumbbell.
Tie off and clip excess tip.

Step five
Trim top and sides of hackle barbules. Tie in a larger bunch(about
35 – 40) strands of Super Hair from behind dumbbell with
w/2” extending past offset eye split evenly around both
eye and bend. Tie down securely between dumbbell and offset keeping
thread on shaft and not riding up on offset. Whip finish and cut
thread. This step forms tail and carapace.

Step Six
Apply epoxy to body, extending it a little past bend. Angle epoxy
at bend and when partially set, pinch hair to form a point just
in front of bend.

Step Seven
Angle cut hair when epoxy has set and apply a second light coat
of epoxy if wanted or needed. Trim legs.
Step Eight
When epoxy has cured(1 hour), apply a coat of Hard as Nails nail
polish for final finish.

Step Nine
Apply small amount of silicone to tail, angle tail downward. When
set, trim tail to 5/16”.
Step Ten
This last step is the easiest one and the best! Attach shrimp
to your leader and feed it to the Weakies, Stripers, Blues, and
Fluke.
